Rowbuy QC photos: what arrives, what to inspect, how to respond
The warehouse photo stage is the last cheap chance to fix a wrong size or a damaged piece. Here is how to use it.
What Rowbuy promises at the warehouse
Rowbuy's help article on QC says it photographs your actual item at the warehouse before anything ships internationally, free of charge, so you can confirm it is correct and undamaged. You are notified when the photos are ready, you review them in your account and you approve or raise a concern. If staff spot a problem first, Rowbuy says it contacts you.
What the article leaves out: how many photos the free set contains, whether you can ask for specific angles, and what extra photos or measurements cost. We found no public answer on any Rowbuy page, so the honest advice is to ask support or the on-site chat the first time you need more than the standard set.

A shelf-by-shelf inspection routine
Here is how to read QC photos from Rowbuy's warehouse. Start with the boring checks. Is it the item you ordered, in the color you chose? Is the size label visible and does it match? Then move to the things that differ by category.
- Jackets and puffers: even filling across the baffles, the hood and trim you paid for, zippers that sit flat.
- Sneakers: both shoes shown side on, the size label inside the tongue, clean glue lines at the midsole.
- Tees and hoodies: print or embroidery centered and straight, collar not stretched, cuffs even.
- Jeans: a tape across the waist and down the inseam; distressing that matches what you expected.
- Bags and belts: stitching at the handles and strap ends, hardware finish, buckle size.
Warehouse lighting is harsher than a seller's studio, so colors often look flatter. Judge color against a neutral object in the same photo rather than against the listing.
Requesting measurements and extra angles
A measurement photo is the single most useful extra for North American buyers, because it turns a Chinese size into a number you can hold against your own clothes. Ask for the chest laid flat on tops, the waist and inseam on jeans, and the insole length on shoes. Rowbuy does not publish a price for extra photos or measurements, so ask what it costs before you request a set.
When a warehouse picture reveals a fault
Raise it before approving. Rowbuy's returns article says that if the QC photos show the wrong item or damage, it will help arrange a return or replacement with the seller where possible. Two words in that sentence matter: help, and possible. Sellers set their own return terms, and some will refuse an item that is merely the wrong fit.
Rowbuy's help center gives no day-count window for these returns. Treat the QC stage as your window and raise the issue before anything leaves China.

After delivery: damage and loss in transit
For problems found after the parcel arrives, such as damage in transit or a missing box, Rowbuy wants a message to support carrying your order number and photos so it can help you file a claim. Keep the outer packaging and photograph it before opening. Refund timing, Rowbuy says, depends on the seller and the carrier.
Ignore the 30-day returns policy you may find at rowbuy.com/blog/returns-and-refunds. It belongs to a different business, a flag retailer, and mentions custom flag products; it is template text the storefront never replaced.
The words around QC
Shoppers use shorthand around this stage. GL means green light, an approval. RL means red light, a rejection or a request to exchange. Our help page glossary lists the rest, from first weight unit to Stored.
